4 day cairo short break

You will be met at Cairo International Airport by Our Representative, who will accompany you to your Luxury Le Meridien Hotel in Cairo for check-in and a free welcome drink. There you will be introduced to your Our Representative for the trip, who will explain what to expect on your visit. Your Representative will be your point of contact throughout the whole trip, and will give you details of how to contact him at any time whilst in Egypt under the care of Our representative.

Throughout your holiday, in addition to the tour leader you will meet a variety of English-speaking expert English speaking Tour Guides, chosen for their expertise on each of the areas you are visiting. After check-in you are free to spend the rest of the day at your leisure. In the evening, there is an optional tour with a special treat to watch the ‘Sound and Light Show’ at the Pyramids in Giza, a stunning array of lights and re-enactments of Ancient times. Then you will be transferred back to your Le Meridien Hotel at the First Residence in Cairo for an overnight stay.

Welcome drink

After a relaxing breakfast at the Le Meridien Hotel at the First Residence in Cairo,you will be accompanied by your private tour guide and driver to visit the famous Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s greatest attractions to visit The Great Pyramids, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world including the Great Pyramid of Cheops, middle pyramids of Khephren and the little one of Mykerinos and The Mysterious Sphinx, the Father of Terror for the ancient pharaohs, this tour includes visit to the Valley Temple facing the Great Sphinx.

Then on the way you will have Lunch, then you will enjoy a visit to the world-renowned Museum of Egyptian Antiques that was built in neo-classical style designed by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon which exhibits a collection now over 120000 masterpieces ranges from pre-dynastic era, Pharaonic era to the Greco-Roman period in Egypt, learn about the great Egyptian civilization and the mummification art in ancient Egypt. You will gain free entry to the Mummification Room at the Museum. Enjoy your free time in Cairo, and then you will be transferred to your Le Meridien Hotel at the First Residence for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will be taken with your Guide starting with a visit the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo including some of the early religious monuments of the city such as the Hanging Church or the suspended church this basilica church was named for its location on top of the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon the church became the centre of the Christian Church of Egypt. Also today, you will visit the very interesting Citadel of Saladin and Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque which was designed and built in Turkish style and very similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey.This magnificent structure is built at a very high point overlooking Old Cairo with spectacular views across the City as far as the Pyramids. It also hosts some very interesting Museums such as the Police, Military, Old Islamic Cairo, and old and modern history of Egypt. Afterwards enjoy a shopping tour at the Khan El Khalili famous Bazaar and old market where you can browse and purchase the wonderful array of handcrafted Egyptian souvenirs and gifts. Transfer back to your Le Meridien Hotel at the First Residence for overnight stay.

After breakfast you will have time to relax before checking out of the Le Meridien Hotel for your direct transfer back to Cairo International Airport for your return flight.
