7 Days Western Desert Safari from Cairo to Luxor | Bahariya, White Desert, Dakhla & Kharga Oases

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before boarding the 4x4 jeeps to explore the dramatic, volcanic landscapes of the Black Desert. We then drive to Al-Haz village to view its refreshing Cold Spring and enjoy a freshly cooked lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the sparkling quartz structures of Crystal Mountain and the breathtaking Agabat Valley. Entering the White Desert National Park, we marvel at the New White Desert's wind-carved limestone formations (like Mushroom Rock). We set up our wild camp in a scenic spot, enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner, and sleep under a sky full of stars.

Wake up to a magical desert sunrise followed by breakfast at the camp. Today, we delve deeper into the wilderness, exploring the Old White Desert and its unique "Tent" formations. We stop to see the ancient, isolated Acacia Tree before reaching the oasis of Green Spring for lunch near its historic Roman ruins. The afternoon is dedicated to crossing dramatic desert valleys with ample stops for professional photography. We end the day in the heart of the magnificent Agabat Valley, where we set up camp for a delicious open-fire dinner and overnight under the stars.

After a hearty camp breakfast, our off-road journey intensifies as we cross the massive, rolling sand crests of the Karawin Dunes. We reach the remote Magical Spring, a hidden water source deep in the desert, where we stop for a relaxing lunch and a brief rest. Next, we navigate our jeeps through the narrow, towering rock walls of the desert's Grand Canyon area. We establish our remote wilderness camp nearby, gather around the campfire for dinner, and spend our third night deep in the peaceful Western Desert.

Following breakfast, we drive out of the deep dunes to the asphalt road, where our private air-conditioned vehicle waits to transfer us to Dakhla Oasis. Upon arrival, we step back in time at the Roman-era Deir El-Hagar Temple and the rock-cut El-Mozawaka Tombs. After lunch, we spend the afternoon exploring the beautifully preserved, medieval mud-brick Islamic village of El-Qasr, walking through its historic courtrooms and workshops. Afterward, we transfer to our Dakhla hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we check out and drive eastward toward Kharga Oasis, the easternmost oasis of the Western Desert. Our historical exploration features a guided visit to the Kharga Archaeological Museum and the remarkably preserved Hibis Temple, one of the few standing temples in Egypt from the Persian era. After a traditional lunch, we take a leisurely walking tour through the vibrant local market of Kharga Oasis to interact with artisans and shop for regional spices, dates, and crafts. Check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy your final oasis breakfast before checking out of the hotel.
